For wave measurement at remote locations Datawell BV can equip its Waveriders® with a satellite link:
- Argos is a one-way system. Data of the buoy is transmitted to CLS, who provides the data for the customer. A choice between position only and position + data can be made. Argos can be combined with an HF link.
- Orbcomm is a two-way system. Data messages are sent and received by email. Transfer of data can be programmed by the customer. Orbcomm can be combined with an HF link.
GPS module is included.
- Iridium is a two-way system. Full spectra can be uploaded through the Internet at any given interval. Iridium can be combined with an HF link. Ideal for buoy retrieval.
- GSM allows you to receive your data via SMS messages on your computer. Message interval can be set remotely.
